Program development and delivery is the result of continual learning and adaptation. HiTOPS expanded its core programs, historically related to reproductive and sexual health, to meet the evolving needs of the youth we serve.
By listening to adolescents, being connected in the community, and staying current on research, HiTOPS develops programmatic responses. Programs and services are assessed and evaluated regularly—the findings are used to adapt programs/services, communicate impact and success, build a community of support, and contribute to the field of adolescent health.
HiTOPS completed the Guidestar Charting Impact Report in December 2011. You can download a copy of the report from the following link (PDF): HiTOPS Charting Impact Report 2011
In collaboration with Rutgers University, the Teen Prevention Education Program (Teen PEP) was evaluated from 2000-2003, and by Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in 2009. Results are summarized here.
