One by One: Teens Explore Date Rape (Video and Curriculum)

“I grew up too fast. One day I was a happy-go lucky teenager and my biggest problem was that I was getting a bad grade. Then I got raped. How can someone’s life do a complete 180 in 45 minutes?” – Megan, age 14

Sexual assault, including date rape, is a problem that happens with alarming frequency among adolescents. This comprehensive rape-prevention program is a 5-session curriculum designed for high school health classes, counseling centers and other youth serving organizations. The program includes two DVD/Videos and eight supporting activities to help students explore this difficult and controversial topic. Produced by HiTOPS, Inc.

One Step at a Time: Telling the Truth About Chlamydia

A 30-minute video designed to give teenagers information about Chlamydia transmission and the important role communication plays in stopping the spread of this damaging STI. Written and directed by Chris Floor and starring local teen actors, “One Step at a Time” presents the tale of two young people and what happens when one learns she is infected with chlamydia. The story presents important information in an engaging and dramatic fashion and can be used as a stand-alone video or as an excellent discussion starter. The video includes an Instructor’s Discussion Guide. “One Step at a Time” is available in English and Spanish versions.
