Dear HiTOPS friends and supporters:
Rest assured that in tough as well as good times, HiTOPS remains committed to ensuring the health and wellbeing of our community – the young people at the core of our mission, our staff, our volunteers and interns, and our extended family of supporters.
We are reaching out to you today to make you are aware of our short-term action plan. For the next two weeks, our physical office in Princeton is closed, the HiTOPS team members are working remotely, and our in-person events, sex education workshops, and peer leadership meetings are canceled or will be rescheduled. We will modify these plans as circumstances require.
To ensure that our young people continue to have opportunities to stay engaged and have access to essential services, our four LGBTQ+ youth support groups and our TransParenthood group will continue to meet virtually. If you are interested in participating in any one of our groups, please call 609-683-5155 or email Alex Aikens at aaikens@hitops.org.
Additionally, if you are in need of condoms, please email Annie Pasqua at info@hitops.org, to make a contact-less arrangement.
For over 30 years, HiTOPS has been an advocate and a provider of sexual health-related services for youth. Our decades of experience have taught us that our strength resides in working together to overcome roadblocks and to ensure access for all youth. We remain focused on our mission, committed to the work, and passionate about ensuring that all young people have sexual health-related information, skills, support, and access to services.
Being kind to ourselves and to others, finding humor where we can, and holding on to a sense of grace and the humanity that binds us to one another, will go a long way to getting us through the upcoming weeks. Please reach out if any of us at HiTOPS can provide support, information, or resources; we would be very happy to hear from you.
In appreciation for your shared commitment to the health and well-being of young people,
Lisa Shelby Sheri Woodruff
Executive Director Board President
